The Nutshuis is located on one of the oldest sites in The Hague, with basement foundations dating back to the 15th century. The current building opened in 1921 as the Haagse Nutsspaarbank, a non-profit savings bank that quickly became an established institution in the city.

Today, Het Nutshuis is a combined building on the Riviervismarkt, where the historical philosophy lives on: from saving money to creating valuable connections. You can rent eleven distinctive rooms for meetings, events or weddings, each with its own story.

Het Nutshuis houses fourteen social organisations, including owner and operator Fonds 1818, which originated from the former Nutsspaarbank.
